How to make

+R Models HO Slot Car's kit contains following items:

1. resin body

2. decal

3. resin mirror, driver (*)

4. plastic board to cut out flap and fin (*)

5. metals for roll bar , plastic bar (*)

*depend on the models

The chassis are possibly in our stock which can be sold for special price.  We would be happy to advice how to get them, please ask us freely.

For the models with more than two colors, the decal is designed to be painted separately.  For example, Alfa Romeo T33's colors around front, Matra's white around cockpit, Ferrari 512S's center line and so on.  Before you start, please check the decalcomania sufficiently, and make your painting plan.

Then, let's start !

1st day

1. Wash the body and other resin items with ph-balanced detergent etc.

2. Wipe water well, and start fitting with chassis.  Remove rough parts with sandpaper or cutter.

   Make holes for air intake, outlet etc., with drill or cutter.  

   Be careful not to cut the delicate parts, referring to the photographs of real cars.

   If the mount is tight, shave a little.

   Make sure that the tires and tire house are not touched each other.

3. We check the quality of our products before shipping, but if there are tiny bubbles, 

    cover them with putty. (only the putty can be used for resin models)

2nd day

4.  When the putty has dried, finish the shapes.  Remove dust and oils, and spray the surfacer

    for resins.  Spray evenly, not too thick.  *GSI Creos's Mr Surfacer white is good one.

5.  Attach roll bar (bend first) and back mirror etc., and spray the surfacer again.  

6.  The same color parts as the body's base color can be attached.

7.  Spray the body's base color, not too thick at a time.  Do it in two or three times.

    Mr HOBBY's Mr Color can spray is OK.  You can mix the colors and spray with spray gun.

    TAMIYA's can spray is not very easy.

3rd day

8.  When it has perfectly dried, mask carefully and spray 2nd or       3rd colors.

9.  If the model has windows, paint them.  Spray after masking, or      paint carefully in the 

    frames with thin brush.  Decide colors, referring to the decal of light covers.

10.  Put the decal on body.  Before start, please check carefully referring to the photographs 

    of real cars.  Number circle for dark color models are supposed to put as double, 

    some light decal are also double stickers.

    Cut each decal according to their forms.  

    If they are not easily stuck to the body, use Mr.HOBBY Decal Softer etc.

11.  When the decal dries, paint the rest parts; roll bar, back mirror, wing etc., and put them on.

    It is better to make a hall on body to attach roll bar's U-shape parts, and the stick stretching

    behind is to be sticked to a point of U-shape parts and body with glue.

12.  Spray the clear.  Thin two layers would be the protection of decal.  If spray more, the gap

    between body and decal will be unremarkable.

13.  Paint delustering colors and finish !
